Custom Nesting Tables Slash Retailer’s Shipping Costs by More Than $2,500

East Coast fashion and shoe retailer Expressions needed 60 sets of three nesting tables for each of its locations. The tables were initially designed with fully welded steel tubes, making them bulky and expensive to ship. The shipping costs to 60 stores alone exceeded the company’s budget. Without a more economical alternative, Expressions would have had to cancel the order.

JL Display redesigned the tables using a space-saving “knockdown” style, which meant the table components could be disassembled and packed flat, and then reassembled at each store. The compact approach allowed the company to use fewer pallets for the table components, saving Expressions more than $2,500 in shipping costs. In addition, JL Display delivered the tables under budget without compromising quality.
